Mayor Transportation is a family owned and operated school bus business serving Northern New Jersey since 2008. Our company began 15 years ago by our mother, Aza, who drove a single student route in her minivan. In 2011, the company expanded to a school bus fleet under the direction of her late son and our beloved brother, Maher. Maher worked tirelessly to learn the ins and outs of the busing industry while attending Rutgers University School of Engineering. In 2015, Maher passed away at the age of 22. He was brilliant, kindhearted, and an unconventional soul in every way. Since then, the company has been under the management of his sisters. We continue to honor Maher’s legacy each day through our commitment to provide the best transportation services for our passengers. Mayor Transportation would not be where we are today had it not been for the vision, resilience, and leadership that Aza and Maher shared together.

Mayor Transportation was previously located in West Orange, NJ until June of 2017 when the company relocated to open a flagship facility based out of Northern Newark, NJ. The new location includes a state-of-the-art maintenance facility for buses as well as an office for company headquarters. Today, we are proud to say that Mayor Transportation has a fleet of over 70 yellow school buses and employs a team with over 150 drivers, attendants, and mechanics. Our company provides safe and reliable transportation services for over 1,600 students in school districts within the following counties: Hudson, Bergen, Sussex, Essex, and Passaic. We specialize in door-to-door transportation for special needs students, corner stop shuttle services, and charter services for special events and athletic trips.
